  2.         Axel Desktop (Shareware) Readme

  5. Axel Desktop is distributed as shareware and is not free.  This means that
  6. you may freely distribute Axel to others provided you do not charge for the
  7. software, that you distribute the package unaltered and that you clearly
  8. state that Axel is shareware.  You may use this software for a limited
  9. period not to exceed 30 days after which timer you must register the
  10. program.  Also, you must purchase a separate licence for each terminal or
  11. workstation on which you wish to use this software.

  14. Axel is a set of utilities for both DOS and Windows.  The distribution
  15. files that should be included are:

  36. If you are installing from double density diskettes then waxel.exe and
  37. wfindx.exe should be on disk 2 and bwcc.dll should be on disk 2 for
  38. 720K disks and disk 3 for 360K disks.

  40. It is strongly recommended that Axel be installed onto a hard disk.  To
  41. install the program you should have at least 1 MB of file space available.
  42.  
  43. If, after the trial period, you decide that you wish to continue using
  44. Axel it is strongly recommended that you register the program.  Besides
  45. being illegal to use this software after the trial period, there are many
  46. advantages to registration.  You will receive:

  69. ADDENDUM
  70.  
  71. Version 1.0A fixes a small bug in Axel's DOS shell.  The prompt variable
  72. is now correctly read for $p.
  73.  
  74. Version 1.0B fixes the dir command in the DOS shell so that the volume
  75. label is read correctly.  As well the design pulldown menu was corrected
  76. to state "grey on grey".
